A Photo Journey Through Nalu Kai's Summer Menu
Last week, my post Seaside Tapas Under Kauai Skies introduced you to Nalu Kai’s new summer menu. The other day, my husband Dan and I got to taste it first hand. It was a lovely evening and the view combined with the service of the St. Regis Princeville Resort, made us feel like we were on vacation. Dan snapped some mouth-watering pictures so we could share them with you. Enjoy!
Nalu Kai Flatbread, $18, with savory French onion spread, bacon, tender curls of Kauai shrimp, creamy mozzarella cheese and kale salad.
Prosciutto Mini Crab Cake, $17, crab-filled cakes with red pepper mayonnaise, Napa cabbage remoulade topped with San Daniele ham crisps.
Nori Panko Crusted Ahi Tuna, $17, Mediterranean slaw with citrus srirracha aioli
Coconut Curry Clams Fricassee, $17, steamed clams drenched in a house-made yellow curry thickened with taro and flavored with lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, cilantro, garlic and served with toasted ciabatta
Tonight’s special, $18, tender shredded Angus beef with strands of Yukon gold potato wrapped in a lumpia roll and served with black truffle aioli.
Chorizo Spices Crusted Ahi Tuna, $23, served with an “Herbes de Provence” rice cake and sangria-glazed black mission figs.
Black Angus Braised Short Rib, $26, sweet caramelized Maui onions, sautéed oyster mushrooms, tender short rib a savory brown sauce and shaved Parmesan cheese.
Roasted Fresh Island Mero, $26, topped with a zesty celery salsa, Yukon potato and fennel purée, and a fabulous aromatic sauce.
